SIS Sport, Fitness and Recreation and SIS10 Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package

The SIS Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package contains qualifications relating to a range of job roles in the sport, fitness, outdoor recreation and community recreation sectors.

Qualifications within this package include those providing skills for people working in the sport, fitness, community recreation and outdoor recreation sectors in job roles such as personal trainer, learn to swim teacher, facilities manager, pool lifeguard, recreation officer, sports coach, dance instructor, self-defence instructor, outdoor guide or instructor, professional athlete and program manager, to name a few. 

There is a range of qualifications in this package from Certificate I through to Diploma, as well as Skill Sets covering a variety of specific skill areas. These may be completed independently, or supplementary to a qualification to provide a definitive set of skills in a particular area or job role. Skill sets cover areas including swim teacher, group exercise leader, pool lifeguard, guiding and instructing skill sets in a range of activities, officiating, organisation governance, coaching and more. 

Components of the SIS Sport Fitness and Recreation Training Package will be reviewed from time to time, generally according to the schedule outlined in the Industry Skills Forecast relevant to this training package.
